wats wrong with u ppl. this movie is not about paris n helen this movie is made about achilis. if u wanna c the movie about helen n paris then go rent "helen of troy" from blockbuster. this movie is great. i watched it four times in theater n i'm gonna buy the dvd wen its out. |

how could you not love this movie????????? personally i thought it was the best, even though it wasn't all the way historicly accurate(but in hollywood what is?). the acting was awesome, and seeing brad pitt naked was just a plus. before i saw this movie i did not like brad pitt at all, now i do. |

i saw troy twice in the theater and loved it. brad was great in this movie too. this movie is even better than gladiator. it is right up there with braveheart as an epic. |

god, people wake up. yes it was great to see brad pitt naked for more than half of movie, but the movie has nothing in common with what homer wrote, or with the legend. the only 4 things i can mention are: brad naked, the boats, landscapes and yes of course eric bana as hector, the only thing that caught my eye in this new ignorant hollywood movie as all the historic movies done by hollywood. people go get a book and start reading! |

(first,sorry cause my english is so bad...i dont use it so much,so i hope u will understand :)
actually there will be more than one line that i will remember.believe me,i was suprised by liking this movie so much.but i really loved it.
yes,there are so many mistakes in this movie.yes,this movie could have been made so much better...it could have been such a unforgettable move,just like lotr.but it is not.
yes,music could have been so much better.
but do i like this move less because of these mistakes..?no.i feel really bad when i read bad critics..and expecially when i hear that some movie like ''the day after tomorrow''(sooo bad&so tipical) were so much more popular than troy.thats so f***** stupid. :(
and people,please,dont even try to compare troy with the lord of the rings.lotr is classic and no movie can be compared with it.it's so beautiful,perfect,no movie will ever be like that.
thats one of the reason for the bad criticts for the troy-everyone's is comparing it to the lotr...it came to the cinemas too soon :/

amazing achilles fighting style was great, the movie was hands down the best i have seen. screw shreck every one should be forced to see troy. thats my opinion though. although it did not fallow the book very well it did enough. for all you people how say it didnt fallow the book think of this if you wanted them to explain everything and be historically accurate then it probably would have been 6 hours long. still best movie ever. |

this movie definetly would'vebeen a lot better if they had fully explain how this story all began..hello!!! its all based on mythology and it didn't just begin with paris wanting helen!! helenwas promised to paris by aphrodite! there was a quarel between the goddesses hera, aphrodite, and (i think) persephone. and aphrodite promised helen to paris if hewould fall on aphrodites side of theargument..declaring her the fairest of all goddesses! thats how this whole stroy began.. so technically paris didnt steal her, she was already promised to him by the goddesses.*sigh* -sorry i had a lot of pent up feelings... |
