I thought the movie was pretty good, but i rented it because i had just finished the book, and i wish that it had followed the guidelines a little more. For gosh sakes, in the book, astrid goes to three more foster homes, she lives in berlin with paul, and ingrid gets out of jail. But if i hadn't read the book, i would have liked the movie, so i give it three stars. .
