Cant buy me love rules! this movie doesnt even come close. The jokes dont generate laughs at all. The worst part thou is there is no feeling of any connection what so ever between the two leads. The plot thread that the hot chick falls for the dork who pays her to date him seems lost. Somewhere in the middle of this movie i was waiting for some great connection between the two that would help fuel the movie all the way to the conclusion. It never came. In the original you wanted the two leads to get together after learning lessons on life and how to treat others. This movie was going through the motions. Plus steve harvey trying to be eugene levy's dad character from the american pie movies was just a sad sad thing to see. This movie rips off other movies but does it so badly. Dont even rent it when it comes out. Rent cant buy me love its much much better. .
