As an ex-boxer and knowing of James J. Braddock, I was fascinated by the truth of this movie. After reading some of the inane comments regarding this movie, people truly amaze me. This was a TRUE story in a time wherein most of these responders have no idea about and how bad it was then. Too easy these days, I'm afraid. Great movie, like Russell Crowe or not. It is all acting afterall.

I know it's a bit late for me to add my comments, but I really thought this was a great movie. It was all about survival. They depicted the Great Depression very well & it made you feel like you were actually there.
