The movie has an interesting perspective of the life of a model turned actress struggles with her love life to a music artist rock star, lover #1 and an unknown music writer, eventually became the main character and lover to the model/actress. Nicole Simpson's role in the movie as a rock band groupie and close friend to the main character eventually serenade the theme song in the end. I really did not think that Nicole can act, but her role as a groupie and then consoling relational values in moral support to her close friend seems consistent on life in the fast lanes which is typically shallow and not consistent with a more conservative perspective of morality. Hollywood is known for multiple marriages, divorces and shallow relationship filled with plastic surgery and fast-paced compared to a life in small town. The movie is definitely hype and fame and money is what is the message being portrayed by Hollywood and the music industry. Interesting concept, but life has much to offer than the shallowness and the industry may bring false hope and disappointments of struggling artists that may eat them alive. I am bit surprised that drugs was not the central theme of the life in the fast lane was not more prevalent in the movie, but the main theme is more about fame and struggles of those wanting to be discovered.
