I hate to sound harsh but I refuse to put my money towards any more M Night movies....I have come to learn that they are over rated and the twist(if there is one) ends up making the movie MORE STUPID liek the twist in The Village!!!!His movies are always made out to me some scary movie that is going to be huge at the box office and go down in history, well The Sixth Sence put me to sleep, Unbreakable i ended up shutting off half way through, too boring, Signs was somewhat reasonable...The Village was the worst movie I saw ever.....so I can only image now terrible Lady In The Water is.....sorry M Night, your movies are over rated garbage!!!! I refuse to give in anymore......

On this website, I mentioned that "Click" was the worst movie I had seen this year. I should not have spoken until I had seen Lady in the Water, the worst movie I have seen my entire life. It seems as if, through his last four blockbusters (all of which I have enjoyed, including the much hated, "The Village), M. Night has gotten too arrogant for his own good--assuming that anything he writes can turn into gold. He forgets the key element of storytelling: Show, don't tell. The confusing plot, which had potential to be an original masterpiece, was so much coincidental, unexplained, and steroetypical, that Crash-bashers, still upset Brokeback lost the Oscar, should eat crow. O, and M. Night casting himself as a writer whose work will change the world? Not so soon Shymalan! Not only have you made your worst movie EVER, but you've lost your main fanbase who, whether you like it or not, come to see your movies for intellectual thrills. By the end of this film, the whole theatre was laughing AT the movie and it's overly dramtic, anti-climatic ending. Quoting another man walking out of the theatre with me, "That was the worst movie ever made!." I couldn't agree more. See M. Night? Disney knew what they were doing when they wouldn't greenlight this elementary, pondersome, convulted tale. Be thankful B. Dallas Howard and Paul Giamatti agreed to it though. As two of our generation's greatest character actors, they were the ONLY reason I didn't get up and walk out halfway through. Ghastly.

It was a very great movie but there was no twist from M. Night! Where was our twist?! Other than this little part, the movie was very great. There was not much comedy in the movie and the little bit that was, was a little bit like you had to be totally paying attention to get it. All around pretty great movie. 4/5!
