INSPIRING....MOTIVATING....MOVING....WELL-ACTED....GREAT STORY....BELIEVABLE....AN ALL-AROUND VERY GOOD MOVIE...WILL SMITH DEFINITELY DESERVES THE OSCAR FOR HIS PERFORMANCE IN THIS ONE.

Deviates a bit from the true story of Chris Gardner (who makes an anonymous cameo near the very end) but is still close enough to be credible. Acting is top notch by both Will Smith and his young son. This is a film for thinking viewers - no "smack and smash" action here. If you're looking for an uplifting, empowering story though, this is as good as it gets for 2006. Recommendation: worth the money to see in theatres.
