Awesome western,another notch on the belt for Russel Crowe.'YoungGuns'doesn't have anything on this movie and not nearly the storyline.There could not have been better chosen actor(s)for the screen.

Two superb performances (Crowe and Bale) are diminished by a story that meanders and loses its way. The ending and the fate of Bale’s character absolutely ruins this film for me. Still, Crowe’s bad guy gun slinger is one of the most memorable movie characters of the year.

The best movie I have seen in many years. I love westerns above all but this movie goes way beyond genre. The characters are more than alive and the story is totally engrossing. It is one of those rare movies for me that begs me to go see it again and again. I saw the original several times and though I thoroughly enjoyed it, this version had much more depth in every area. A true classic and I hope we now see more westerns on the horizon.

Been a long time since i've seen such a good movie, amazing amount of action aswell as acting. Really, really good movie. I didn't know weather to give it a "really good" or "instant classic rating" but i'll just say 5.5 out of 6.
