Alpha Dog is inspired by the true story of a young drug-dealer who becomes the youngest man to ever be on the FBI's most-wanted list. Emile Hirsch (from The Girl Next Door) plays the lead role as Johnny Truelove. His entourage includes Justin Timberlake, Fernando Vargas, Shawn Hatosy & his nemesis is played by Ben Foster. The rest of the supporting cast including Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone, Olivia Wilde (TV's The O.C. & Turistas), Dominique Swain (Lolita), Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls), Chris Marquette (The Girl Next Door & Just Friends) & Alton Yelchin, who plays the kid that is kidnapped is amazing. There are some really good performances & the story is well written. But the best come from Timberlake & Yelchin, who both steal the show. I always liked Timberlake as a singer, but never expected him to take on a role like this. Forget what all the JT haters have to say about him & check him out in Alpha Dog. He is off to a great start in his movie career & I can't wait to see what his role in Black Snake Moan is. Overall, Alpha Dog is great & is one very gritty movie that you will be surprised by.
