Remake adds nothing to the original and should have stayed inside someone's nightmare world. Divine played the original mother because he was who he was. There was no reson for a man to play the remake part unless it is an homage. You can just hear the third martini speaking from the Hollyweird hot tub - let's get Travolta to wear a dress, the plebes will howl with laughter. Rent the original- steer clear of this toxic disc. Dance numbers well done.
