At first, I kinda feared this style of movie. A non-spoof poking fun at other movies of its kinda. Shaun of the Dead proved that it could be done. I really wasn't worried about Hot Fuzz though. The Brits are starting to kick American films' asses. I loved it! Hot Fuzz was really awesome. It has a nice "what's the reason for all the maddness" type a story line that kinda is awesomely anti-climatic and the special effects are awesomly wicked for this type of film. I love and totally recommend it!!!

Nowhere near as good as Shaun of the Dead. A little disappointing. Not as many laughs either. Movie is over two hours long and it had quite a few boring stretches through it. If the whole movie would have been like the last 20 minutes it would have been great.
