great movie that chronicles the rise of chess records.founded by leonard chess in south chicago in the late 1940's and early 50's.it dispells the myth that rock n roll originated with elvis presley.a must see for all music fans.it touches on many subjects of its time and handles them all fairly while highlighting the careers of such music legends as muddy waters,little walter,howlin' wolf,chuck berry and etta james.the whole cast is amazing but an especially fine performance is turned in here by beyonce.i enjoyed this movie very much.two thumbs way up!
