I finally saw this on dvd and i don’t know why it was such a flop at the box office. it’s not that bad. it’s not great either but it is entertaining. i’ve been a big fan of jack black for a long time and he’s good here but it’s not his best. if you really want to see jack black cut loose and go nuts, rent tenacious d – the complete master works. .

Envy brings dark comedy with a lesson about the mean person in ous. Uniqu and surprising this is what its all about. You will never find a movie quit think this one. . .

Like sum1 else sed ppl faught this was gone be some slapstick comedy since jack black and ben stiller is in it, it is good coz i can see whats funny and wats not,and a good lot is funny, stiller is awesome and black is goin that way to.

Those who rated this bad (and that was most of you) don't understand dark comedy. this film is a perfect dark comedy. i'm sorry you were hoping for school of rock or orange county. it is a different kind of film - and an excellent one at that. .
