Yet again martin scorsese proves why he is one of the greats in filmmaking. He doesn't shy away from the material and it pays off. Great performances and an interesting look at the evolution of the civilized world. .

This movie was exceptional, it took me to a realistic potrail of the past. full of violence, naked women, and maybe it was the weed i had smoked but the butchers hair looked down right silly when he took his hat off. an excellent historical piece that is better than braveheart and all those other knock off gibson war movies. .

Scorsese's shake and daniel's intelligence is the only reason to see the movie. Diaz exists only as a bate for the audience. Leo is an excellent actor only playing teenagers. But playin a rebel is a man's job-i was seein leo's plump face pretending to be a rebel vs daniel and i was laughing. . . Scorsese is a genius but he can't handle rich budgets. . . He is 2 independent for that. . . .

oscar or golden globes this year.
2. Martin scorsisi didn't win oscar for best director. .
