Just do not watch the English-dubbed version which made the dialogue AWFUL and gave it a stupid overall feel. This is an awsome film for horror fans: lots of action, mystery, intrigue and GORE. Awsome performances all around and an ending that you will never see coming. One plot hole concerning a "truck" and a "car" is annoying, though..

High tention worked all the way til the end. The makers apparently thought they needed a twist ending.... they did not need it. The twist was not only unoriginal but created huge plot holes, which is impossible to overlook. Despite the ending this film did provide some good old fashioned thrills as well as creating high tention throughout most of the film. So the Good: fast paced film which keeps you on the edge of your seat and throws some over the top gore at you. The Bad: bad dubbing and even worse ending. They should have just allowed the film to play out as old fashion edge of your seat slasher film rather than trying to get all psychological on us. Still considering the genre i would have to recommend this film. Really good is taking it too far but i feel its better than just ok. We really need a good rating on this board

Great 3 1/2 star movie turns into a 2 1/2 star movie 3/4 of the way thru. Spoilers......The ending is just awful. Its ment to be a Wow cool twist ending. Ive read several opinions on how the ending makes sense. I still find those theories lacking and add up to nothing more than lazy screen writting. this movie was old Texas Chainsaw cool till it had to go and tack on a twist ending so popular today. High Tension wanted to be Old school but blew it in the final frames. Sometimes I can forgive a bad ending but in this case it ruined the entire movie. If your a gore hound there is plenty of that in the movie. You maybe even able to get pass the ending and accept it as something smart. I was not able to do that and feel disapointed in what I thought was going to be old school ground breaking for a new school world. Rental for those interested but nothing more.
