The movie monster-in-law would have been a wonderful plot and hilarious movie to watch, had the main character be someone else other than Jane Fonda. I would have preferred watching Rosanne Barr play the mother-in-law role than Jane Fonda. Rosanne Barr is a much better actress than Jane Fonda. Jane needs to stick to being an activist instead of an actress. Sorry, Jane Fonda still brings about the memories of her betrayal of the soldiers in Vietnam war and to include her current activist role in the most recent war. Jane's best movie was 9-to-5 was her best show, but definitely not this movie. Jennifer Lopez really shined in her role, but Jane Fonda's role takes away from an outstanding movie. Jane Fonda,in my opinion was the wrong type cast in the role of mother-in-law. Anyone else would have improved the movie story.

It was a waste for Fonda to come out of retirement for this movie. I laughed twice, but the story was pointless.

The movie was okay. That's all I can say. J Lo was good and J Fo was good and the guy was good. It was all okay. Wanda Sykes was great but other than that the movie lacked meat. It was... okay.

A very average comedy lifted a notch higher due to an over the top comeback from jane fonda. Jlo was in her usual "im an ordinary nice girl" role, but jane fonda really let go and ultimatly stole the show. Nothing new here, but worth an matinee ticket price.
