As a portuguese girl, i can so relate to this movie! it had me in stitches from the start! and made me realise how proud i was of my culture. I think it can reflect any italian/spanish culture. It showed how much we value our morals and traditions, which in this day and age are just things of the past. I reccommend it to everyone to watch, as it may teach you a lesson or two!. .

Enjoyable comedy but generally leans on cliches and stereotypes about the greek-american community. However, speaking with latinos and southern europeans, i was shocked to find out that most applied their culture and ethics to this movie. It could definetely be "my big fat italian wedding" or something, but trust me, it works with the greeks just fine! don't expect to see any socrates resurrection or strong social analysis and deep philosophical issues: simply enjoy yourself and have fun for a couple of hours with your lovemate, especially if she's greek! . .

I really wanted to like this movie. . . I didn't. i did not see what was so funny about it. i think the writer/actress is talented, and may have a successful career, but this movie used cliche gags and overacted characters to an irritating level. the only character i cared about (her brother) was left hanging with no conclusion to his underrated talents. i was just disatisfied with the whole picture. .

i can tell you something for sure that you can smile but you can't laugh because this movie had jokes that does not makes any $hity sences. But i think peoples after 70 yeears olders might like this piece of f==k.

I cant say enough good things about this movie. the writing is spectacular. an obvious labor of love for a very talented performer (nia vardalos) loved every minute. . . Every minute a masterpiece.

Anyone who liked this trash surely has serious mental problems-or he is a ben affleck fan which is quite the same- (i also learned that greeks back in country did. . . It's nice paying money for seeing yourself redicilous ). Fak off. . . . . . . .
