Comments:	More than 30 years later I still recall the first time I saw this film. Walking out of the theater it was clear that we had just witnessed a watershed moment in movie history. Nothing like it had ever been presented before, and it struck a chord in my nearly 11 year-old mind that still resonates. "Instant Classic" doesn't even do this justice. Yes, Titanic and Dark Knight have earned more $$$, but no movie has had the lasting, inimitable impact on the movie industry or those who saw it that summer of '77 than Star Wars. Granted, it's impact out-reaches the quality of film itself, but that should say something, too. I've NEVER forgiven the Academy for over-looking the impact and grandeur of this film (Annie Hall won best picture that year... Annie Hall!).

Comments:	This movie is and was the best ever. I saw this movie 23 times in St. louis. I loved it then and I still love it now. Out all the Scifi movies I have seen until now will ever pass this epic. At its time just like Gone with the wind was in its time will always be the turning point in movies. I have been fortunate to see 2 of the greatest movies to ever hit the big screens Star Wars and now Avatar.
