Excellent. good movie for entire family. Underlying personal and family values. nice multicultural casting. good love story inclusive. Although so what predictable, very funny and fast-moving. i would see it again and have recommended it to others. it was nice to leave the theatre feeling good, not feeling bad about violence or sex. therefore, ". . . You can take you children--of any age. da.

Yeah i agree with shoeboy, cubas' role could have easily been done by anyone. Beyonce did a good job and a lot of the gospel singing was top notch. The story however was very formularic you know what cuba will do and what is the final outcome, i won't spoil it for anyone. Overall it had its' moments and the singing was good, yeah the prisoners were cool, but it could have been funnier.

Only a few songs was any good. The last one they sang (spoiler here if for some reason you couldnt know the ending before evening going)anyways the last song they sang to win the competition was like the worse song in the movie. There was a few jokes that was like ha ha. For the most part its one of those movies that you could have written in your sleep. Cuba was so not interesting the whole movie. The only really good part was when the prisoner started rapping. The film never played up on the fact that cubas character had no clue how to lead a chior. . Its only barley touched on. It seems they could have used that premise a bit more for some soild laughs. The destinys child chic is fun to look at. Really not even worth watching for free on tv. .
