Studio Market Share Below are a couple of tables to try to represent the Box office market share for the main distributors that released a movie in 1998. Here is what I did: I took the list of all the movies released in 1998, from my movies of 1998 page, and took the list of all the movies that were released to more than 700 screens. I didn't think counting the limited released movies would be fair. I then added the total domestic Box office gross for all the movies released by each of the studios. Table 1 shows the total gross for all the movies they released. Table 2 shows the Average per movie Box office domestic gross for each movie released by each studio. Note that I didn't count movies released in 1997 like Titanic. Also, some movies are in release, so these table will change a little in the next couple of months
