One of them being Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and the other being The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

On this page I will keep track of the progress The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring makes towards beating Titanic's Domestic Box Office Record of $600.8 Million Dollars. In addition, the figures for The Phantom Menace and Harry Potter are also shown
Below you will find two graphs. One graph will compare the weekend domestic box office gross of the four movies, by week of release. The second graph will compare the total domestic box office gross, by week or release. Hopefully this will give us all a better idea if or when The Lord of the Rings gets the Box Office Record. Note: Only the first 26 weekends are shown (the number of weekends Titanic was among the top 10 movies in the US)
